Dear Blog-ary,

The most challenging station by far, for me, was one where we faced our partners on mats while doing side planks and pulling a stretch band between us with one arm. All the while, remaining engaged and solid. It was really tough!
There were also a few exercises that we did that I’d never done before. We bounced a weighted ball over our heads to a partner and caught it again in a squat position. I’m glad that I am able to laugh at myself and not worry about looking like a fool if I lost my balance or grunted in concentration.
During the workout I proudly sported my new 5K Salmon Run tech shirt that Loreli surprised me with at the beginning of class. We were able to share a bit about our race with the others and relive some of the excitement we experienced. It was a beautiful clear night and we all appreciated the absence of rain after our wet weekend. Loreli even broke out in song at one point and we were all in good spirits!
As I drove home after our session at Mount Doug Park I found myself singing, “I can see clearly now the rain is gone!” . . . Kirsten Wolf
