Golden Milk

This mixture is a great remedy for numerous ailments.   Turmeric is a powerful antioxidant with many health benefits and uses; it helps to reduce inflammation, aids in digestion and may help to relieve heartburn.  I use it to keep my immune system strong and digestive system active!

But, I particularly like it for the anti-inflammatory effect of turmeric and ginger that helps to ease the aches and pain associated with arthritis and other auto-immune diseases.

Ingredients

1 1/2 tsp  Turmeric (I used fresh)

1 tsp  Ginger (I used fresh)

3/4 tsp Cinnamon

4 cups Almond or coconut milk (increases the bio-availability)

Pinch of freshly ground black pepper

Preparation

Combine and heat until warm (NOT hot), about 5 minutes.  I used the “soup” setting on my Blendtec blender.

If you feel the need, you can sweeten with agave or maple syrup.
