YOGAFIT
YogaFit is designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness and wellness. Based on ancient yoga traditions it blends balance, strength and flexibility in a fitness format (warm up, strength building, cool down).
YogaFit overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style that’s accessible, understandable, and do-able by individuals at any level of physical fitness practice. The YogaFit style reduces the risk of injury and augments recovery for ailments including stress, lower back pain and tension. The classes are 1 hour in duration, once a week, and you can sign up for a series of classes (4 – 6 weeks) or take them on a “drop-in” basis. Classes are currently being done at Stillpoint Community Acupuncture locations.

BUTTS & GUTS
You can’t spot reduce! That’s not the intent of these classes. But, we can help you get stronger in these problem areas. These classes are aimed at getting you to understand how to properly train your often ignored muscles, the glutes and transverse abdominal, with some great cardio, core and leg workouts. To boost your fitness efforts, they’re also a great addition to the 2 or 3 times a week Boot Camp classes. The classes are 1 hour in duration, once a week, and you can sign up for a series of classes (4 – 6 weeks) or take them on a “drop-in” basis. Locations vary but are similar to those used in our Group Fitness Classes.

KETTLEBELLS
For those that don’t already know, a kettlebell is a weight that looks somewhat like a cannonball with a handle attached. In addition to giving you incredible muscle endurance, when combined with a proper nutrition plan, a kettlebell workout will rapidly melt any excess fat that you may have! Kettlebell training involves compound exercises, that work multiple muscle groups simultaneously, and seeks to integrate your breathing, movement and alignment along with your ability to control and balance the weight. you are not isolating parts of the body the way you do with traditional weight-training workouts. Unlike traditional dumbbells, the kettlebell’s center of mass is extended beyond the hand. This allows for swing movement not possible with traditional dumbbells and, because more muscle groups are utilized in the swinging and movement of a kettlebell (than during the lifting of dumbbells), a kettlebell workout is said to be more effective, and can yield better results in less time! Classes are 1 hour in duration, can be done 2 or 3 times per week and the Training Sessions for these classes are 4 weeks in duration.

BODY BLITZ
As the name implies, these classes are designed to “blitz” your body with exercises that will increase your muscle endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular capacity! Every class is specially designed to rev up your metabolism, maximize your fitness potential and boost your energy. These classes are perfect for someone wanting to trim some excess inches or those who want/need someone to provide the extra motivation to exercise. Classes are 1 hour in duration, can be done 2 or 3 times a week and the Training Sessions are 4 weeks in duration. Locations are similar to those used in our Group Fitness Classes.

FRIENDS / OFFICE GROUP
Do you have a group of friends or co-workers that are interested in getting fit together? We can create your very own “fitness squad”. These classes are 1-hour in duration and can be done 2 or 3 three times a week. The Training Sessions for these classes are 6 weeks in duration and, to initiate one of these groups, we request that you have a minimum of 5 participants. Locations can vary, we can come to you.

PROGRESSIVE RUN COACHING
Do you have a specific race/run that you’re aiming to complete? Perhaps there’s a 5K, 10K, half or full marathon in your future for which you want assistance with your training and preparation to ensure that you complete the run healthy and injury free. We can put together a personal, and progressive, training program that will address your concerns and assist you in achieving your goals. The length of training times, locations and number of sessions per week can be adjusted to accommodate your schedule.
